FRAUD ALERT!! - Asus G55VW

MicroCenter Cambridge, Mass. has put me in an interesting place. Bought a clearance laptop. Was told (when I asked specifically) that it had 9 months of its manufacturer's warranty remaining. Next day, when I tried to register it, I was told that a) the product was already registered and b) there is no remaining warranty. I then examined the "MicroCenter Extended Warranty" that the service rep pushed on me and have discovered that according to Section 13, line X, they will not honor any warranty applied to an item that is not "covered by a full manufacturer's warranty on your date of purchase." I've contacted MicroCenter, Asus, and the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office. I'm going to sit back and wait until the eve of my final allowed return day when, you guessed it, it will go back to them. Shame, too, as I really like the unit. Can't say that I like the blatant lying and (perhaps criminal) scamming. I hope you get to read this before it's deleted. But, no fear, it's going to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. of friends and family as well as on every online site that I can find. Contemplating posting the video of my sales associate straight-up lying to me as well as Asus' response

I purchased a beautiful Surface Pro 4 June 16, 2016. When I travelled to Colorado with my new pad... I was excited too use it. Unfortunately it did not work. I thought it was me the entire time. Having researched the issues with the device... I attempted to return the device to MicroCenter. I was turned away by customer service rep., store manager and DM. I was sent around in circles to Microsoft, who found the Surface Pro had been registered prior to my purchase... which explained why the Authentication seal was removed from the box. Also, the sales rep entered the incorrect bar code description on receipt at purchase for some odd reason. I end up purchasing a computer with extra warranty, and a keyboard that expired in March 2016. The manager lied to me! He said I purchased a new computer when the evidence is clearly showing... a prior record of registration. What's worse... they lied about the inhouse-warranty of the product! I was ping ponged back and forth from Microsoft Center, and MicroCenter a total of four times. This is unbelievable. And to think my company equipment comes from this store which I've done business with for twenty five (25) years. There is a major problem in the store! And I got duped out of $1500 USD. Unbelievable! Hope the commission was worth it... DEFECTIVE REFURB SOLD AS NEW PRODUCT SCAM!!! Check your product ... somebody internally is pulling the silver authentication labels, and covering their trail. I called the microcenter, and told them the issue... she checked the status of the computer, it showed I had returned to the store for a return days later. IMMPOSSIBLE!!! I was in another State with the computer. What is going on in that store?!!! Angry ex patron.
